A delegation from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria visited Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University, Kano (KHAIRUN) on 30th April, 2025. The visit, initiated at the request of KHAIRUN management, was aimed at seeking the council’s advisory support as the university strengthens the delivery of its already ongoing Nursing Science programme.
Leading the delegation, the Registrar of the Council, Mr. Ndagi Alhasan, expressed delight at being at KHAIRUN and commended the proactive approach of the university in maintaining early and continuous regulatory engagement. The team assessed the adequacy and availability of key resources supporting the programme. They applauded the efforts made by the university and offered recommendations to further enhance the programme’s quality and success.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdulrashid Garba, noted that the visit was part of KHAIRUN’s deliberate strategy to ensure full alignment with the council’s standards. He reaffirmed the university’s dedication to delivering top-tier nursing education and assured the team that their recommendations would be implemented promptly.
