The Management of Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University, Kano (KHAIRUN), welcomed a delegation from Al-Istiqama University, Sumaila.
The delegation was led by the vice-chancellor of Al-istiqama University, Prof. Salisu Shehu, who expressed his gratitude for the warm reception. He highlighted his deep respect for the leadership at KHAIRUN, describing the vice-chancellor as a mentor whose extensive experience in the education sector serves as an invaluable resource. Prof. Shehu emphasized the importance of strong, mutually beneficial partnerships, noting that no institution can thrive in isolation. He also mentioned that Al-istiqama is keen to partner with KHAIRUN, particularly in the areas of staff training, Qur’anic recitation and memorization, which have shown significant moral benefits for society.
Prof. Shehu affirmed that the relationship between the two universities is enduring and will continue to be strengthened over time. He assured the KHAIRUN management that an invitation would be extended to them for a future visit to Al-istiqama University to share their expertise.
In response, the vice-chancellor of KHAIRUN, Prof. Abdulrashid Garba, expressed his pleasure in welcoming the delegation, noting that the familiar faces made the visit even more special. He reiterated KHAIRUN’s commitment to key areas such as Qur’anic recitation, memorization, morality, and entrepreneurship, stressing their importance and the university’s readiness to share these initiatives. Prof. Garba expressed his deep appreciation for the visit and looked forward to a fruitful collaboration that would benefit the wider society
