The Management of Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University, Khairun, Kano, extends its warm felicitations to Muslims worldwide on the occasion of the birth of the Holy Prophet of Islam, Muhammad (SAW).
In a statement issued by the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Abdulrashid Garba, the legacy of the Prophet of Islam is hailed as a perfect example for humanity and a source of complete mercy to all. Professor Garba urged Muslims to reflect on the significance of this auspicious occasion.
Furthermore, the former Registrar of the National Examination Council (NECO) took the opportunity to announce KHAIRUN’s readiness to commence its 2023/2024 academic session with an impressive array of 16 undergraduate programs.
He stated, “The Management of KHAIRUN rejoices with Muslims worldwide as we commemorate the birth of the Holy Prophet of Islam. I would like to take this opportunity to provide an update on the University’s preparations for the commencement of academic activities in the 2023/24 academic session.
Let me begin by informing you that the University is now fully prepared to initiate the admission processes. We have secured an account within the Central Admissions Processing Systems (CAPS), which is part of the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) portal.
However, this step awaits the outcomes of our technical and professional engagements with the National Universities Commission (NUC), which have also reached an advanced stage. We express our gratitude and appreciation to these two crucial partners in our journey of progress.”
The University, named after Abdulsamad Isyaku Rabiu, the father of the president of BUA Group and a multi-billionaire, is scheduled to commence its operations with three faculties: the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences and Computing, the Faculty of Science, and the Faculty of Engineering.
Within these faculties, students can pursue various undergraduate programs such as Industrial Chemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Forensic Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Physics with Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and B. Eng. Mechatronics Engineering.
