B.Sc. Biochemistry

INTRODUCTION

B.Sc in Biochemistry is a three-year undergraduate program that offers in-depth knowledge of biology and chemistry
with regard to plants, humans and animals processes, human physiology, basic immunology, microbiology, enzymology
etc. The main aim of the program is to make students understand the dynamics and mechanism of the biological activities
taking place inside the human body. The knowledge gained through the studying biochemistry is widely used in various industries like medical research, food and packaging, pharmaceuticals, medicine and genetics. Candidates who have an aptitude for complex biological
processes and have a thorough understanding of relevant texts and have good research skills can take up the course.
The main aim of B.Sc in Biochemistry is to provide aspirants with field-specific knowledge and skill sets through
theoretical and practical sessions.

Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast

The main aims and objectives of the degree programme in biochemistry should be:

  • To provide students with a broad and balanced foundation of biochemical knowledge and practical skills
  • To develop in students the ability to apply knowledge and skills to solving theoretical and practical problems in biochemistry
  • To develop in students, a range of transferable skills that are of value in biochemical and non-biochemical employment
  • To provide students with knowledge and skills base from which they can proceed to further studies in specialised areas of biochemistry or multi-disciplinary areas involving biochemistry
  • To provide, through training and orientation, an appreciation of the rewards of inter- and multi-disciplinary approach to the solution of complex life problems
  • To generate  in  students  an  appreciation  of  the  importance  of  biochemistry  in industrial, economic, environmental, technological and social development
  • To instil in students a sense of enthusiasm for biochemistry, an appreciation of its application in different contexts and to involve them in an intellectually stimulating and satisfying experience of learning and studyin
