Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University, Kano (KHAIRUN), in partnership with the National Library of Nigeria, held the 2024 Annual Readership Promotion Campaign on October 24th, 2024. The event, themed \u201cReading as Barriers Breakers and Excellence Propeller: The Role of Stakeholders in Sustaining the Culture of Reading,\u201d presented by Prof. Chinwe V. Anunobi, the National Librarian\/CEO, National Library of Nigeria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The presenter highlighted the transformative power of reading in individual growth and societal progress, with a focus on addressing educational barriers for youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professor Abdulrashid Garba, KHAIRUN\u2019s Vice-Chancellor and chairman of the occasion, emphasized the need to modernize libraries and equip them with resources that promote academic excellence and a thriving reading culture, particularly among young people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event underscored KHAIRUN\u2019s commitment to cultivating a literate and empowered community through strengthened partnerships and reading initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
